Vana (she/her) is a first generation college student, mother of two (mostly) adult children and professor and Program Coordinator of Performing Arts at Cape Cod Community College. She earned a Master’s degree in Drama from Tufts University and a B.A. in English/Creative Writing and Theatre/Dance from Trinity College. Vana focuses her time on teaching,  directing and producing; currently directing "Bright Star" by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell, other recent directing projects include "Nothing is the End of the World (except for the end of the world)" by Bekah Brunstetter, "ENOUGH! Plays to End Gun Violence," "Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind: 30 Plays in 60 Minutes," George Orwell's "1984," and “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” Recent producing projects include "Fiveplay" by Erica Smith, "She Kills Monsters," by Qui Nguyen, “Boundless,” by Alison Weller, “Romeo & Juliet,” "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time," and "Urinetown." A proud alumna of Cape Cod Community College, she teaches acting, directing, theatre history and production courses and consults on theatrical intimacy and consent based practices.
