Detroit, Michigan
Meg Heeres has called Detroit home since 2007 where she's been involved in the community as an artist, advocate, and teacher, all roles she plays with her Invasive Paper Project. She maintains a studio on Detroit's west side. Meg also works as a facilitator and strategist for local, woman-owned design studio The Work Department. Similar to her role as an artist, her role at The Work Dept. is committed to accessibility, to translating complex ideas into ones to which everyone can connect.
